After watching jakes post on the forthcoming Bad company 2. I decided to pre-order a copy now...:D

Currently boycotting EA games for all the **** i've been through with 2142, and the absence of any kind of customer service from EA.
The game looks fine, but it's a no for me.
And even if i wasn't boycotting, it may have been a no, because what i love in 2142 is the semi-futuristic ambience. I'm not sure the ambience of this one will be better for me, but that's a personal feeling.
And i recently read on the official battlefield blog that a lot of things are being done for vehicles on BC2, and the more i play, the more i like infantry.
So i guess BC2 online will be like BF2, Aircraft ruling, and vehicles only on the ground.
Not for me, thanks.
the only thing that could make me break my boycott would be... a 2143 game (or a more original title;))

Dont know TBH. I am happy with £26.99 though any less would obviously be a bonus but still better then £40 for MW2!!!

No health bar, death cam, you just have to push one key to cut someone, the new mode called "rush"...

Apart servers, because i'm talking about gameplay, you've got a point on vehicles.
But posing bombs on point A or B, defusing, knifing with just one button, seeing the guy who killed you with the death cam, and seeing red when you're hit instead of a health bar, yep, sounds a lot like CoD to me ;).

I'm just telling what points i don't like in the gameplay, that's all.
I didn't watch anything about Bad company because i had no consoles and didn't plan to buy one.
Now Bad company is released on PC, so i'm watching trailers and stuff, and i discover good things and bad things, that's all.
ps: i think everyone's gonna buy it, i thought it would be interesting to tell you why i won't ^^

It's based entirely on the first game, which is console only. Don't expect it to be the same game as BFII or 2142 - it is very santized and 'dumbed down'. Kind of like BF - lite, aiming for a multi - format market. I will buy it, but I am not sure on which format yet.
Hmmmm, I have changed my mind whilst typing. I may just buy it on both PC and Xbox. I just watched the video on http://badcompany2.ea.com/#/home and thats good enough for me. It DOES look like a COD4 version of BF, and is the same game as BF:BC 1, but its still BATTLEFIELD and thats good enough for me ;)
I am going to pre-order it :D. This is a big deal for me - the first PC game I have played since the underwhelming L4D, and one of only 4 I've played this year (including FO3, GTA4 and COH).
Buy it both on PC and Xbox?
If you've really got money to loose, i suggest you buy 2 different games, not twice the same one ;)

Yay 1 more...:D...Dvd has to be better. I had 2142 on digital download and lots of crashing due to pace.exe..

on the other hand, if you buy it from say, play.com, do you buy the disk version, then have to download the beta?
hmm seems that 'GAME' has the limited edition version, but i see no beta access hinted anywhere, play offers beta access, but it does not seem to be the limited edition version...
seems to be one or the other atm...
I pre ordered from play, so get the beta. The Ltd edition unlocks are actually available to everyone, they just come pre-unlocked in the ltd edition.

I think so, because in BF:BC 1 you could call in a strike using an unlock. Although this may have been an airstrike - I can't remember.

its just unlockables early, everyone will have them eventually
Also after all the stuff with EA download manager I would not get this from steam, you may not get a constant GUID.
