2142 wont work help [Archive] - The Game Quorum

Help folks,

I cant get into 2142, i get as far as the initial spawn point then lose my mouse and keyboard??????
Any idea's

try looking at your controls, this sometimes happens to me, it blanks all your controls.
just press default again, and it should work.

ah crap, it happened to me a while a go (before i joined GQ) i could have just joined here sooner than i would know what to do, had no idea what to do so i contacted EA support, and i forgot what they said now lol, i think i ended up re-installing it though.

I Have something else strange in BF. When I go invisible with the sniper gadget, my screen turns black and I don't see anything then.

Any ideas, how I can fix this?

Are you running the latest Gfx drivers, is your screen resolution set too high (or has this only recently started to happen)? Do you get strange blobs on screen, and other discolourations?

i am all up and running again just reset the controls and to default as posted by Darky. Worked a treat now i just need to set them up again to were i had them working before.

I have the latest drivers. It starts happening recently. I haven't done any changes of videocards or other things. one saturday I didn't had any problems, and the day after it turns black, like it still is now.

the resolution is not to high I think.
I only set the effects and etc. to the maximum recently, could that be the problem?
