I have Crysis Warhead SP. Crysis Wars I will dl soonish. SP keeps crashing on me so am not too keen.

Delete the videos puni. I found this to help. I am not sure who it was but they couldn;t even get into the menu screen until I told him to delte the videos and it started working fine.

I am up for this tonight (Thurs) if anyone else is game. I have just clocked the bridge in Warhead and am going to some camp, and I sense this is near the end of the game(?). So I will install wars later this afternoon and noob it up.

Not really. As of yesterday, there were only 14 or so people who had played it thats all. As it is brand new, there are an abundance of servers, and I don't think peeps want to hang around in empty ones. When Reds, Porks, Denzilp and me went on, a couple more came on, but we ended going onto a much fuller one.

Its early days yet though, tbh. Our original one became popular after a lot of communities got rid of the game (being bugged, unsupported, fully of hackers, etc), so ours thrived. But this will take a little while to emulate.

We just need to have everyone who is thinking of getting it/has already got it to coordinate a time to get on together.

we have had the server full quite a few times now its a good laugh and fairly easy to start

I played a bit with Vitez a few minutes ago, and found that Power Struggle would appear to be the way forward. There is actually a point to it, rather than run around like a lunatic killing people.

That said, we saw some horrendous hacking going on, with the top guy having a KDR of something like 112 to 8! The top 3-4 managed to rape our spawn bunker, killing 4 of us in a row (1 vs 4), even with us returning fire. A serious case of botting. Both Vitez and I called them out for hacking, but they didn't even bother to deny it.

So, with that in mind, PB HAS to be running if we are to host a Power Struggle for Wars. I can't see a way around it. Even on TIA, Red's and I saw a whole clan hacking. using max strength and speed at the same time (probably armour too). They were running around punching everyone. It's so prevalent, the game could be destined to die on its arse like the first one so quickly did, due to the complete lack of incorporated, fully working and effective anti cheat protection. At least PB is a start...

yeah like ferd said.. pb is a start.. at least there is sum form of anti cheat software..

and im sure it will get better with teh release of patches..

and we cud possible install a 3rd party 1 like our clan mod server??

I can't play on it with PB enabled. If you want it on though, turn it on.

Crytek's Anti-Cheat system is also enabled though, might possibly cause conflicts with PunkBuster.

Edit:

I've actually already modded all the PowerStruggle maps on Warhead for Day & Night cycles, PB won't like that.

im sure they will sort it out with patches..

they seem to hve come along way from the 1st crysis release..

but wud using pb not stop most of the hackers? from using mod content?

yeah but it never worked right with crysis it has always played up and just stopped normal players getting on the servers

Problem I get as well, DJ. Crytek's own in-house anti-cheat system works good, its also fully implemented.

Hmmm, I don't see why there are so many cheats about if there own system works so well. And these are obvious cheats. The only thing they are not doing is going 'lol' as they bot you.

I love it too, and like you said about popularity, theres only one other person in my school that can play it. I guess the system requirements are just too high :/

hmm to whole think about powerstruggle is not complete clear for me.
I have no idea where you can find nuclear weapons when you have that control center and enough power.
Or when you can get a tank or something that flies.

So i prefer instant action :)

i dont mind playing any of them..

it was alot of fun the last time i played with a load of guys from GQ..

uninstalled it now tho..

but if we can nail down a date.. like i said i wud reinstall it..

This game isnt popular, because requirements are still very high.

I check out the wikipedia, and read that the crytek gonna make crysis trilogy :D warhead isnt sequel, its only addon :) I cant wait :D

i thought teh specs for warhead where less than they where for the original crysis?? :S

They are less and Warhead does run much better, it's still a demanding a game though.

Quite above many peoples PC's capabilities.

I tried to install the game yesterday, but my disc drive wouldn't read the disc.

I'm swapping out my drive later today though, so I'll give it another go.
