Hi,

I am trying to figure out if I should get Fallout 3 on the PC or a console. I wouldn't normally think about a console but I don't know if my PC will cope so well with FO3. I want it to look very pretty :)

My Current Rig:

CPU: Q6600
Mobo: Asus Striker Extreme
Graphics Card: EVGA 8800GTS 640mb ACS3
Ram: 4GB (can't remember timings)

So:

1. Will it look good on my PC as it stands?

2. What would you recommend as a new graphics card for me anyway for £150 quid?(not sure if ATI has overtaken Nvidia again). this is my current card: http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=640-P2-N827-AR&family=GeForce%208%20Series%20Family

Thanks,

Darth

I did:

What are the PC system requirements?
We won’t know for sure until we are much closer to the game’s release. Until then we won’t speculate on what kind of processor or video card you might need.

But I'm guessing that someone like Marty might have a rough idea, he just knows these kinda things ;)

If I had bought that rig and couldn't play Fallout 3 on it I'd be majorly pissed off.

Your current PC will be fine, I expect.

If you want to upgrade your graphics card, the ATi Radeon 4870 or even the 4850 would be a nice choice, but to be honest, I wouldn't bother. Not yet anyway.

The Q6600 is perfectly fine, as is the 4GB RAM.

It doesn't look like game that will be demanding, so I wouldn't worry about it. It will look, and no doubt play really nice on a console as well though.

PC ftw, also allows mods which can really improve rpgs. Also having played oblviion on the 360 i can say its bloody irritating.
