Welcome to The Game Quorum

No Vulgarities or Profanity:

Yea! You can't use words like: $@%$#*, &%*$@!@#, or %$(%#@$%. Try alternative colourful phrases like: "Merciful heavens she sure is acting like a nincompoop," "Golly gee, I wish he hadn't said that about my mother." or "Oh heck! Am I having a bad day."

No Copyright Material:

You can quote up to 500 words from any source without citing where you got the quote. There are gray areas on sources you reference, but we do not approve of copying entire articles from subscription based newsletters. If you post a news story, you need to include a link back to the source.

No W@r3z, illegal material or activities:

No asking for serialz, hackz, or warez, linking to them, discussing or anything related, including MP3z, and related piracy items. This also includes bit torrent sites.

Adult Material:

You may post adult material (pr0n) in the correct sections, but it will still be removed if deemed offensive. Do try not to post full frontal nudity if you can help it, not everyone appreciates such things.

No Ads for Other Websites Unless Authorized:

Don't register an account and expect to promote your new site on this site. Permission may be granted and has in the past. Ask before doing so.

No Spamming:

Don't just repeatedly post information. Don't just repeatedly post information. Don't just repeatedly post information. Don't just repeatedly post information. Make use of the forum search feature to find out if something has been posted before.

No Referrer Links:

We do not allow referrer links to be posted. This includes being displayed in signatures, profiles and posts.

No Slandering the Character of a Board Participant:

Even if they are mentally retarded and were probably abused by their parents, you shouldn't be compounding their difficulties by publicly airing their personal problems. Everyone has the right to disagree with any other board member, however, the disagreements should focus on the issue and not persons issues.

No Selling of Products:

Things like: drugs, military secrets, nuclear components, and human souls are definitely frowned on. Computers, equipment and games are okay in the classifieds forum. When buying anything, you need to know and trust the person you're dealing with.

No Posting of Arguments from other Boards:

We have enough quarrels here. We don't need to import them from other message boards.

No Hot-Linking Images From Other Sites/Forums:

Since there are a few issues with hotlinking images from other sites:

Leeching:

Every time any member opens your Hotlinked thread - They have to load the image from the parent site, so basically we are stealing their bandwidth every single time our members access your thread. While some sites allow this, others do not.

Danger of Swapping:

The original picture you Hotlinked could be swapped or replaced by another picture by the owner of the image or the site you hotlinked to.

Any Hotlinked images from other sites/forums will be removed. Of course you can still use Image Hosting services such as ImageShack.

Types of Posters We'd Like To Discourage:

Drama Queen:

Like all message boards, there is always a constant turnover in the number of people that frequent our site. Most people, after having decided they no longer wish to visit the board, make no announcement about their departure. Some individuals have a penchant for making long boisterous departures from the message board that is clearly worthy of an Emmy award "Goodbye cruel message board" is the classic remark. Because most of them seek to harm the morale of the board, Drama Queens are regarded as a nuisance. What also makes them an even greater pain is their tendency to repeatedly coming back for a series encore performances. "I came back to see if you people changed your ways, but I see things are the same as always so once again, farewell cruel message board."

Trolls:

This type of person has the tendency to visit message boards for the sole purpose of complaining or saying things that cause other members to get up into a frenzy. These type of posts are usually off-topic anyhow and they lead to nothing productive, so please just don't be a Troll or see yourself Trolled out of here.

Rivals:

Some individuals believe their day is not complete without a "my computer is better than your computer" post. In fact, most of our days would be complete without these posts. So, we are happy you think your computer is better, so tell your computer, not us.

Signature Sizes:

The max signature size we allow is 600x125 pixels (width|height), you're allowed a signature of a different size but you must stay to those limits, for example you can have a signature of 350x100. Please keep them clean of swearing, racism and offensive comments/pictures. If a signature is found to be oversized you will be kindly asked to remove it, if you don't a moderator will.
